Basic Baked Beans

Beans are an excellent source of fiber. A half-cup serving of typical canned or home made baked beans contains 7 grams of fiber!

Ingredients:
3 cups canned vegetarian beans
1/4 cup catsup
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions:

In small (1 quart) casserole dish, combine beans, catsup, and brown sugar.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees until bubbly, about 30 minutes.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes

Recipe makes 4 Servings, about 3⁄4 cup each

Per serving:

•Calories 220
•Total fat 1 grams
•Saturated fat trace
•Cholesterol 0 milligrams
•Sodium 937 milligrams
