Manufacturer for Wegmans Brand Sorbet Issues an Allergen Alert for Undeclared Milk on a Limited Number of Wegmans Brand Sorbets (July 31)
The manufacturer of Wegmans Sorbet is recalling a limited number of 16 oz. Wegmans brand Sorbets because they may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy to milk run the risk of a serious or possible life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the affected products.
The sorbets are packaged in 16 oz. paperboard containers and sold in the supermarkets’ ice cream section. All four sorbet flavors:
- Green Apple; best used by codes OCT 2008; MAR 15,09
- Lemon; best used by codes FEB 11,09
- Pink Grapefruit; best used by codes FEB 11,09
- Raspberry; best used by codes
SEP 2008; NOV 2,08; FEB 11,09
The products were distributed throughout Wegmans Food Markets located in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland.
